This is a complex subject to teach. Lots of information a short time to teach it. We ask all members to bring a bonsai, pre-bonsai to the meeting. From this selection of plants we will talk about how they should be handled during the repotting and root pruning phase of development. All members are welcome to talk about their experiences with repotting. Joe Day, Russell, Fred and Leo Fortner with his experiences with Maples will try to answer as many questions as possibly the answered during the evening. Repotting time is short in our deep south area. You need to have your supplies ready and a plan that list every plant you need to repot and a schedule of what get repotted first then next, next and next.
Pick the plant you want to bring, write down all the questions you need to ask. It will be a fun and informative night. Joe Day

Text Box: Review: ACBS Auction
Text Box: Probably the best ever ACBS Fall Auction. Nice weather, great food and drink, every item was quality (no junk or crappy plants) about 260 items, fast bidding, quick clean up and lots and lots of nice bonsai people from Mobile, Pensacola, New Orleans and Ft Walton Beach, Florida.
Text Box: The cash out and plant pick up ran smooth and quick. Club auctions depend on members, friends, businesses and sister bonsai club members for items. I am always amazed at the generous nature of everyone. Lots of bonsai folk brought food for everyone to enjoy

Text Box: And did they ever enjoy everything. I could take up the entire newsletter listing who did what but I would still forget someone. Just say everyone who came made it a wonderful success.
        Joe Day
