Text Box: Why do some people at a bonsai show walk past some bonsai but stop and spend a lot of time looking at other bonsai. Yes they will always spend a bit more time with very large bonsai, bonsai with flowers and bonsai with a lot of jin but at time they will spend a lot of time with average size bonsai that have no flowers or jin. It’s impossible to read the mind of all viewers of bonsai but the reasons why some stop and some stay can be understood . At the May ACBS regular meeting Joe Day will talk about improving your show trees to make your bonsai the one that makes people stop, look and enjoy. Bring a tree and we will talk about ways to make your bonsai a show stopper.
